Job Title: Domestic Transport Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Transport Manager to join our team at Wm. Armstrong (Longtown) Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Brief and de-brief drivers to ensure deliveries are completed safely and in accordance with company standards.
  • Manage the distribution of work while complying with transport legislation, health and safety, and customer service requirements.
  • Work closely with the Contract Operations Manager and other supervisors to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the transport sector, with knowledge of continuous improvement and transport management systems.
  • Strong understanding of legal compliance, drivers' hours, and WTDs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer:
  • An attractive salary between £30-35k, dependent on experience.
  • Access to benefits, including life assurance, medicash scheme, sickness scheme, and pension scheme.
  • A rolling shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, with 12 hours per day and a 45-minute unpaid break.
