Job Title: Transport Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Transport Coordinator to join our team at Reed. This role is crucial in ensuring products comply with all global legislation and are sourced responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process picking lists and issue them to the warehouse promptly
- Plan delivery routes for orders using the most cost-effective methods, utilising client's own fleet.
- Reschedule held orders and liaise with the warehouse for dispatch.
- Maintain and cost the daily planning sheet using Excel.
- Track transport supplier rebates.
- Check courier reports for discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Book transport using our company vehicles or relevant third-party transport companies.
- Liaise with customers for pre-delivery checks and post-delivery services via telephone or other confirmed methods.
- Liaise with the sales team concerning customer orders.
- Handle customer service queries related to dispatch errors.
- Collect payments for ad-hoc orders (e.g., accessories).
- Manage the customer return process in line with company policy.
- Handle trade counter enquiries, assist drivers with collections and deliveries, and manage showroom enquiries.
Requirements:
- Strong organisational and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to stay updated on market developments and government regulations.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with various departments and customers.
- Knowledge of FORS and legal compliance around transport operations is advantageous (training will be provided).
- Experience in transport planning and route optimisation.
