Source Appointments Ltd is a local service business based on the outskirts of Rugeley. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a permanent contract.
Job Summary
As an Accounts Assistant, you will report to the Accounts Manager and be responsible for processing Sales and Purchase invoices, dealing with accounts queries, processing payments and receipts, creating invoices, filing, communicating with customers and suppliers. You will also be allocating cash, attending meetings, taking minutes, and keeping notes; Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts; to investigate and resolve any issues. Process Sales invoicing and credit notes on Sage 50 and Client's portals. Credit control and process monthly rebates and carry out credit checks on potential new customers and set credit limits.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Sales and Purchase invoices
* Deal with accounts queries
* Process payments and receipts
* Create invoices
* File and maintain accurate records
* Communicate with customers and suppliers
* Allocate cash
* Attend meetings and take minutes
* Liaise with staff and external contacts
* Investigate and resolve issues
Requirements
* At least 3 years accounts and admin experience
* Good knowledge of the finance function, including Sales and Purchase ledger
* Knowledge of Sage and MS Excel
* Ability to work in a small team with a good eye for details and strong numerical skills
