**Job Title**: Logistics Planner
**Location**: Rugeley, Staffordshire, UK
**Role**: Permanent / Full Time
**Shift**: Monday to Friday

**Main Purpose**
As a planner at Premier Nutrition, you will be vital in ensuring the timely and efficient dispatch and transport of all delivered goods to our UK mainland customers from both our Rugeley and Fradley sites.
Your role is crucial in maintaining On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) percentage, contributing significantly to our overall business goals. You will excel in communication, demonstrate knowledge and creativity, and build solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in line with our business strategy and values.
**Role Objectives**
- Take full ownership of the dispatch process for both sites.
- Run, maintain, and communicate haulier manifests with the latest accurate data.
- Liaise with 3rd party hauliers to prebook and update the collection and delivery of finished goods.
- Assign hauliers based on delivery location and cost.
- Release and pick all available finished goods and raw materials to meet customer requirements.
- Manage the pre-picking of straight sales items ahead of time.
- Generate vehicle loading paperwork where required.
- Effectively communicate dispatch and order issues to key stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot issues affecting orders dispatching daily.
- Identify and set up new ways of working, promoting them across the business.
- Attend team and business meetings, as necessary.
- Develop and maintain robust working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Train others on logistics systems and processes where required.
- Actively participate in stock takes and daily housekeeping tasks.
- Acquire knowledge of the Production Planning processes to aid team flexibility and staff cover as required.
**About you**
**Knowledge & Key Behaviours**:
- Ideally experienced in a similar role within an agricultural business.
- Enthusiastic about providing a reliable service to customers.
- Effective communication skills and a strong team player.
- Organised with effective time management.
- Relevant experience in a planning or production environment.
- Flexible approach to teamwork; able to work individually and as part of a broader team.
- Good communication skills: verbal, written, and listening.
- Comprehensive administrative and organisational skills; able to prioritise and manage coordinate issues.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with IT-based planning/stock tools is advantageous.
- Good presentation skills.
- Initiative and ability to work well in a small team.
- Attention to detail and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Positive performance as part of a multi-functional team.
**Additional Information**
- Must have a valid driving licence.
- Will be required to work from our Fradley site when required.
- Prepared to work occasional weekends and bank holidays as per business needs.
