**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Pharmacy Stores Team as a Pharmacy Assistant Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and issuing stock items, providing safe and timely pharmaceutical services, and working as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- To adhere to legislation, national and local standards, and procedures in all tasks performed.
- To participate in the introduction and use of new technology and techniques in accordance with the needs of the service.
- To work as a member of the pharmacy team to provide safe, timely, and high-quality pharmaceutical services, including reception, purchasing, and distribution.
- To acquire with training, a working knowledge of the pharmacy computer system in order to use as required following departmental policies and procedures.
- To maintain stock and consumable levels, ensuring stock rotation within designated areas in accordance with procedures.
- To perform general tidying and non-domestic cleaning duties in the department as needed, ensuring the safe disposal of waste.
- To have awareness of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations for the storage, handling, and disposal of pharmaceutical products.
About the Role:
The Pharmacy Stores Team is responsible for the receipt, storage, and issue of pharmaceutical stock to support the delivery of patient care across our three main hospitals and community health care premises. As a Pharmacy Assistant Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy service, working closely with other teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
