About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine safety inspections and maintenance tasks on our fleet of vehicles.
  • Rectify defects and perform repairs to a high standard.
  • Attend to vehicle breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Complete job cards and reports accurately and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean and organized workshop.
Requirements
  • PCV/HGV Licence desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant City & Guilds qualifications – NVQ 2 in mechanical commercial vehicles.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and familiarity of Department of Transport Standards (DVSA) would be desirable.
