Job Title: Third-Party Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third-Party Development Manager to join our Asset Management Team at BEAR Scotland.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with developers and Transport Scotland on all planning applications and developments that impact on the trunk roads. This will involve providing advice on the suitability of applications, assisting with transport appraisal and assessment, and coordinating an integrated response from relevant design teams.

The role will also involve working closely with Transport Scotland to prepare and administer minutes or letters of agreement, and ensuring that any monitoring and road safety audit of a third-party development is performed and reported in accordance with requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with developers and Transport Scotland on planning applications and developments.
  • Provide advice on the suitability of applications to Transport Scotland.
  • Assist with transport appraisal and assessment, and any appeal process.
  • Coordinate an integrated response from relevant design teams.
  • Work with Transport Scotland to prepare and administer minutes or letters of agreement.
  • Ensure monitoring and road safety audit of third-party developments is performed and reported.
