About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our Adult Disability Service team in Lancaster and Morecambe. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and fulfill their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to participate in community activities, such as shopping, outdoor activities, and social events.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Requirements
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins.
