Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Gap Technical is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join their team at a global manufacturing business based near Welwyn Garden City.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform dimensional inspections of aerospace components, read and interpret engineering drawings, and work to set daily targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform dimensional inspections of aerospace components to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical sheets to understand product requirements.
  • Work to set daily targets and meet performance objectives.
  • Record non-conformances in a descriptive manner and sign C of C (training provided).
  • Complete first off and final inspections to ensure product quality.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace inspection environment.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use of handheld measuring equipment, including callipers, gauges, and micrometres.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies, including CMM.
  • Experience of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • PC literate with immediate skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs frequently.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
