We are seeking a Lead Cyber Security SOC Analyst to join our dynamic Cyber team. This role is pivotal in managing our outsourced Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and leading a dedicated team of internal SOC analysts. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our data and information systems from emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of SOC analysts, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily SOC operations, including incident monitoring, analysis, and response to security events.
  • Develop and implement SOC protocols and best practices to ensure effective incident management.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance protective monitoring and security controls.
  • Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, proactively recommending security enhancements.
  • Manage incident response efforts, including containment, investigation, and reporting of security incidents.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and suggest improvements to strengthen the overall security framework.
  • Act as the primary contact for our outsourced CSOC service and security tools, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Work closely with service management suppliers to resolve security issues promptly and develop operational playbooks.
  • Coordinate with IT engineers to ensure effective configuration and management of security monitoring technologies.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on SOC activities and security posture to stakeholders.
  • Engage with broader cybersecurity teams to promote a unified approach to risk management and information sharing.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in a SOC analyst role within a large organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for team leadership.
  • Proven experience in a senior SOC analyst or team lead capacity.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies and incident response methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies.
  • Professional certifications relevant to cybersecurity.
