The team

The Client Implementation and Lifecycle (CIL) Team reports to the Chief Operating Officer of the UK Client Service Group.

A dedicated team that supports client lifecycle activities for UK pension schemes, insurance companies, intermediary clients, and sub-advised mandates, the CIL Team ensures individual client requirements, regulations, and lifecycle event complexities are accurately assessed, understood, and appropriately project managed.

The CIL Team strives to provide a market-leading lifecycle event management service. This role offers broad exposure to internal stakeholders and is client-facing.

What you'll do

  • Project manage client activities while ensuring all internal parties deliver to the agreed timelines and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Produce project implementation plans and client-facing documents to track and monitor progress.
  • Develop and execute transition implementation plans/runbooks for UK client activity, ensuring seamless integration and safe delivery of assets.
  • Coordinate the review and execution of client legals and actively seek to understand the client mandate and have consideration about all commercial aspects of the relationship.
  • Adhere strictly to Schroders policies and procedures.
  • Lead contact and liaison person for clients, consultants, other asset managers, and where appropriate, third-party providers such as custodians, administrators, and transfer agents.
  • Build strong relationships with the Client Service Group, ensuring the client owners and Centres of Excellence are informed, sharing knowledge through procedures, papers, and training & awareness sessions.
  • Attend external client meetings as the lead Client Implementation representative.
  • Uphold and support the values and brand of Schroders to our clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of the regulatory landscape.
  • Have or seek to develop an enhanced understanding of investment strategies and Schroders products and solutions.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

The knowledge, experience, and qualifications you need

  • Understanding of client lifecycle activities.
  • Detailed experience in either transitions, onboarding, or client service.
  • A good understanding of custody, transfer agency, and fund administration.
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) in order to deliver Schroders messages coherently and confidently to external parties.
  • Confidence to question existing strategies, policies, and procedures and input into any strategy discussions.
  • IT skills, detailed wording knowledge of MS applications, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Problem-solving and relationship management skills.
