About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortuary Manager to lead our Regional Mortuary Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to our Mortuary and Bereavement services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality mortuary and bereavement services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience working in a mortuary or bereavement service, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Knowledge of current mortuary practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, and bereaved families.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make complex decisions.
