The RoleWe are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in a supported living service. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to a lady in her late 50s, enabling her to live independently in her own home. The role involves supporting with everyday household tasks, attending appointments, and engaging in activities that promote her physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support to the individual, promoting independence and confidence
- Assist with everyday household tasks, such as cleaning, washing, and cooking
- Accompany the individual to appointments, food shopping, and other activities
- Support the individual to plan and attend social events, outings, and holidays
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual's physical or emotional well-being
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when interacting with the individual
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's autonomy
- Basic IT skills and ability to use digital technology to support the individual
