We are currently collaborating with a forward-thinking utility firm that is eager to enhance its commercial team by bringing on board a proactive Quantity Surveyor.

Compensation up to £55k | Annual Bonus | Vehicle or Allowance | Pension | 28 Days Holiday

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will manage the financial aspects of utility projects.

In conjunction with the operations team, you will assess completed works, ensuring accurate measurement and quality assurance.

Prepare and submit Cost Value Reports (CVRs), ensuring timely preparation and agreement of changes to minimize Work in Progress (WIP) and maximize cash flow, ensuring payments are received within the designated timeframes.

Monitor and ensure that all project variations are documented accurately.

Generate cash flow forecasts, keeping them updated and reporting on any discrepancies.

Assist in exceeding business objectives by identifying and resolving issues promptly.

Ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets, and cost control procedures are effectively utilized.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring full entitlement under the contract is achieved.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in utility projects is required.

Professional qualifications in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or relevant experience, are preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
