Assistant Estimator Job Opportunity

Clearfield Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Assistant Estimator to join their team. As an Assistant Estimator, you will play a vital role in supporting the estimation process for design and build projects.

The Role:

As an Assistant Estimator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for projects ranging from £1 million to £15 million, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Supporting the preparation of tender documentation, including bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and pricing documents.
  • Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand scope and requirements.
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and pricing information for various project components.
  • Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring costs are kept within agreed parameters.
  • Working closely with the design and construction teams to ensure estimates are aligned with project plans and objectives.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar Assistant Estimator role, particularly with design and build projects.
  • Proven experience working on projects ranging from £1 million to £15 million in value.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools commonly used in the industry.
