Henderson Scott Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration within the company.

As an IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert-level technical support to our clients. You will be responsible for addressing complex issues, leading migrations, and ensuring smooth operation of client infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced technical support to resolve intricate issues.
  • Lead migrations, including On-Prem Exchange to Office365 transitions.
  • Manage Active Directory migrations and configurations.
  • Support and maintain client infrastructure effectively.
  • Engage in discussions regarding cloud-based solutions and their benefits.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems promptly.
  • Take ownership of escalated incidents, ensuring timely resolution within agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Build strong relationships with clients and third-party service providers to facilitate effective issue resolution.
Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in IT support or a similar technical role. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments.
  • Proficiency in Exchange On-Prem and Online configuration and support.
  • Experience with terminal server environments, including Citrix, AVD, and RDS.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory configuration and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Group Policy principles and best practices.
  • Solid general networking skills, including CLI proficiency, subnetting, and NAT.
  • Experience configuring and supporting routers from vendors such as Cisco, HP, and Draytek.
  • Familiarity with firewall configurations and support using platforms like Watchguard and SonicWALL.
  • Hands-on experience with HP ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge server hardware.
  • Understanding of storage technologies, including NAS, NetApps, and Synology.
  • Strong grasp of Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and SSL Certificates.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and later versions, encompassing setup, configuration, backups, and maintenance plans.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Firewall.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Experience with automation scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.

A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or IT Operations Management is preferred.

We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience providing system support in a technical environment. SaaS companies are particularly valued.
