IT Asset Support Specialist (Aerospace) - Hertfordshire (Hybrid) - £40K - DV/SC Clearance Required

Henderson Scott Limited is seeking a highly skilled IT Asset Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end solutions for large companies, making them more competitive by combining in-depth knowledge of a wide range of business sectors and innovative technologies with a fully collaborative approach.

The Role

As an IT Asset Support Specialist, you will work closely with the Service Manager and report to the Solution owner, providing software and hardware configuration support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Audit and manage Programme assets to ensure they are properly configured and up-to-date.
  • Administer the Asset Database and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate and consistent information.
  • Administer the Licence Management database to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Act as the Programme's focal point for hardware and software acquisition, liaising with the SSL Procurement Team to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Accountabilities

  • Propose, agree, and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function for the Programme, ensuring it meets the needs of the business.
  • Accountable for the daily management of hardware and software asset information, ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Gather and maintain essential information such as asset location, asset quantities, identifiers (e.g. serial numbers), and audit status.
  • Liaise with Programme, SSL, and customer personnel to ensure that assets are managed to meet their needs.
  • Assume ownership of the Programme's hardware bill of materials and coordinate the acquisition of hardware assets via the SSL Procurement Team.
  • Conduct sampling reviews and audits to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the equipment management, information, and process delivery.
