About the Position

In the role of Section Engineer , you will play a crucial part in executing the engineering strategy and framework for our innovative highways initiative.

Key Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer , your duties will include:

  • Developing Method Statements and Risk Assessments, along with conducting regular reviews.
  • Preparing and submitting Temporary Works Briefs, ensuring timely execution.
  • Performing intricate setting out as necessary.
  • Creating Activity Control Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, securing necessary approvals.
  • Utilizing the Specification as a reference and mentoring junior team members in its application.
  • Ensuring Site Engineers complete quality check sheets promptly for all tasks.
  • Generating a weekly program and assessing progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Communicating the weekly program and objectives to the workforce.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors to ensure alignment with the weekly program.
  • Maintaining a detailed diary, including interactions with external subcontractors.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • A BSc or HND in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in NEC Civil Engineering projects.
  • The ability to clearly articulate the requirements of a safe working system and suggest enhancements.
  • A valid driving license and CSCS Card, with SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and well-developed communication skills.
