Position Overview

The Global Climate and ESG (CESG) team at Gallagher Re is seeking a committed Sustainability Business Analyst to enhance our operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Climate/ESG insurance expert to incorporate climate and meteorological insights into business analytics.

The Sustainability Business Analyst will be instrumental in delivering climate solutions and natural disaster response services to clients worldwide, aiding in the development of a more resilient future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a profound understanding of the effects of climate change on enterprises
  • Evaluate global climate models across various scenarios
  • Assist in the development of standardized climate risk evaluations
  • Engage with team members and external partners
  • Establish market presence and foster relationships with clients
  • Contribute to products and reports related to event responses
  • Identify enhancement opportunities with external parties
  • Create intellectual assets for revenue generation
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations
Candidate Profile:
  • Advanced degree in a scientific or environmental discipline
  • Thorough knowledge of climate science and relevant datasets
  • Experience in climate-focused roles within the insurance sector
  • Proficient in various IT applications and strong communication skills
  • Positive demeanor and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
