About the Role

As a Prisoner Escort Custody Officer with Serco, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of detainees to and from court. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect detainees from prisons or police stations and transport them safely and securely to courts
  • Ensure the care and well-being of detainees during transportation and while in custody
  • Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells, and complete paperwork and data entry as required
  • Search property or people as necessary, and maintain accurate records of all activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current driver's license and a valid CPC card (C1 License desirable)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage and control all situations
  • Reasonable fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
