About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Counter-Fraud Deputy Manager to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Counter Fraud department, you will assist the Counter Fraud Manager in the day-to-day management of the team and deputise for them in their absence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Organise and prioritise your own workload while providing supervision and support to Local Counter Fraud Specialists.
  • Manage and supervise team investigations, fraud risk, audit work, and team governance and strategy.
  • Support the Counter Fraud Manager and deputise in their absence, as required, in respect of matters pertaining to the provision of local counter fraud services.

Requirements
  • Experience in Public Sector/NHS to ensure propriety.
  • Experience in fraud risk analysis.
  • Management experience.
  • Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist.
  • Educated to Masters Level or possession of relevant equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Experienced Criminal Investigator.
  • Experience in managing criminal investigations.
  • Knowledge of relevant criminal prosecution legislation and government functional standards.
