About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Autism Psychologist to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering specialized assessment and treatment to individuals with a diagnosis of intellectual disability and/or autism, along with co-morbid mental health, neurodevelopmental, and offending/challenging behavior needs requiring hospital treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality assessment and treatment services to individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for individuals with complex needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including families, carers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • HCPC registration in Psychology or due to qualify in the next 6 months
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
