Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Perinatal Mental Health Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist perinatal psychological interventions to women experiencing or at risk of experiencing moderate to severe mental health conditions in the perinatal period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist perinatal psychological interventions to women experiencing or at risk of experiencing moderate to severe mental health conditions in the perinatal period.
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy, as well as advice and consultation on women's psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other non-professional carers.
  • Utilize research skills for audit, policy, and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
  • Help identify gaps in the service and assist with service improvement and developing pathways of care to meet the service needs in line with National and Local strategies and evidence-based best practice.
  • Support the psychology management team and develop clinical expertise in perinatal psychology.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or Applied Psychology.
  • Experience of working with women experiencing perinatal mental health conditions.
  • Knowledge of perinatal mental health services and policies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
