Domestic Cleaning Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaning Assistant to join our team. As a Domestic Cleaning Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected, and public areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ensuring rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full to prevent any unpleasant odors or pests.
  • Maintaining high hospital standards by ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe for visitors by following required policies and procedures.
  • Using equipment in accordance with the role, following all Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff to provide excellent customer service.
  • Working under pressure, individually and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
  • Being aware of patients who may be unwell or showing signs of distress and providing a supportive and caring environment.
Requirements:
  • Able to work in a hospital environment and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Passionate about patient care and committed to providing excellent service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
