Domestic Support Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant / Administrator to join our team at a Mental Health Centre / Hospital in Salisbury, Wiltshire. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality cleanliness services to support the delivery of mental health patient-centred care.
- Adhere to all Domestic and Support Services Policies and Procedures, including COSHH, Colour Coding, Food Safety Regulations, and Waste Management.
- Carry out cleaning duties in all areas, including clinical, sanitary, kitchens, waiting areas, offices, and more.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining stocks of supplies.
- Practice good hygiene and maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
- Report accidents and defects in equipment to the Supervisor or Assistant Domestic/Support Services Manager.
- Attend mandatory and other training when scheduled and apply it to the job.
- Cooperate and communicate with ward or department staff and work together as a team.
- Complete food audits.
- Place food orders with NHS Supplies and Bidfoods.
- Complete stock counts.
- Place cleaning stores orders with NHS Supplies and Spot On.
- Check and file weekly and daily paperwork.
- Keep Health and Safety Folders up to date.
- Update the Health Roster recording staff sickness/overtime.
- Record hospitality requests.
- Review staff training updates sent by the manager.
- Send reminders about out-of-date training.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Domestic Assistant / Cleaner in the NHS or healthcare sector.
- Experience working as a Domestic Assistant / Cleaner.
- Administration experience.
- Comfortable working in a Mental Health Centre / Hospital.
- Available to start immediately.
