Job Title: Lead Imaging Specialist - Band 6
Weekly Commitment: Permanent
Compensation: £35,392 - £42,618 Per Annum
As a pivotal member of the imaging department, the Lead Imaging Specialist will provide exceptional service to patients undergoing X-ray procedures. This role involves overseeing theatre imaging operations, ensuring comprehensive training is delivered to all team members, and maintaining the functionality of imaging equipment. The Lead Imaging Specialist will also represent the department in scheduling meetings and ensure that all relevant information systems are accurately updated.

Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical and administrative duties as a senior member of the imaging team, performing all X-ray examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with various departments and wards to ensure seamless patient care.
- Lead theatre imaging initiatives and provide training to staff.
- Maintain professional competencies as required by regulatory bodies.
- Execute examinations to the highest standards, utilizing professional judgment and expertise.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing information and support as needed.
- Participate in the rotation between X-ray and theatre duties to maintain proficiency across all equipment.
- Prioritize tasks based on clinical urgency.
- Act as a deputy for the Lead Radiographer when necessary.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
