Job Title: Consultant Radiologist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a Consultant Radiologist to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality clinical service to patients, including the interpretation of imaging studies and the provision of expert advice to other healthcare professionals.

Main Duties:

  • Interpret a high volume of imaging studies, including plain radiographs, CT and MRI scans
  • Provide expert advice to other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses and radiographers
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new imaging protocols and procedures
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs for radiographers and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in the quality assurance and quality improvement activities of the radiology department

Requirements:

  • FRCR or equivalent qualification in radiology
  • Full registration with the GMC and eligibility to join the specialist register
  • Experience of working in a busy radiology department, including experience of interpreting a high volume of imaging studies
