**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in our bookkeeping department, ensuring that assignments are completed to set timescales and budgets.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Bookkeeping Entries**: Prepare and maintain accurate bookkeeping entries for client accounts.
  • **VAT Returns Preparation**: Prepare and submit VAT returns for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • **Accounts Reconciliations and Month-End Adjustments**: Reconcile accounts and make month-end adjustments as required.
  • **Documentation and Communication**: Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with clients.
  • **Professional Development**: Continuously build your technical knowledge and skillset.

**Requirements**

  • **Experience**: 3 years+ experience of bookkeeping and VAT.
  • **Prior Experience**: Prior experience in accountancy practice would be advantageous.
  • **Technical Skills**: Knowledge of Xero and related bookkeeping apps/systems.
  • **Soft Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • **Knowledge**: Understanding of bookkeeping processes (including debits and credits, month-end adjustments, and accounts reconciliations) and knowledge of HMRC rules for VAT returns.

**What We Offer**
