Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant

Able Bridge Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join their team in Glasgow. As a key member of the accounting practice, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional bookkeeping services to clients within your allocated portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Collate client expense details and ensure receipts/invoices are stored securely.
- Reconcile sales ledger and customer bank accounts, identifying and correcting anomalies.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, advising clients on values and payment deadlines.
- Assist in producing accounts to support the client accounting team in pulling monthly management accounts.
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper with strong IT skills and proficiency in Xero, Sage, or Quickbooks. While a professional qualification is not essential, prior experience in an accounting practice environment is crucial. Our client is open to supporting candidates who are AAT qualified or seeking to gain a qualification.
