In alignment with our growth strategy, we are excited to present an opportunity for a Managing Building Surveyor in our Nottingham office. This role will emphasize enhancing existing client relationships and driving growth and technical proficiency within the office.

The Nottingham Building Surveying team is well-integrated with our extensive building surveying operations, facilitating support and collaboration with over 180 Building Surveying professionals nationwide. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to leverage their skills, network, and personality within a growing team that values positivity, professionalism, and collaboration.

Candidate Profile:
  • MRICS qualified Building Surveyor.
  • Commitment to embodying the values of positivity, professionalism, and collaboration.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to pursue further industry qualifications and continuously enhance technical and behavioral skills.
  • Adherence to the agreed training plan and objectives.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge in problem analysis and solution creation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication.
  • Capability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Flexible approach to work responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Proven ability to produce clear and grammatical reports.
  • Possession of a full driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contributing to the development of opportunities and growth within a specific area of expertise, such as healthcare or education.
  • Assisting in the compilation of scopes of work and the production of design documentation, including drawings.
  • Participating in project planning and execution.
  • Possessing a thorough understanding of construction technology and building services.
  • Attending design team and construction stage meetings.
  • Collaborating on large-scale survey projects.
  • Coordinating with senior colleagues to ensure timely delivery of technical outputs that meet client requirements.
  • Conducting site visits and performing accurate surveys as necessary.
  • Managing personal workload effectively.
  • Engaging in all aspects of the agreed training plan.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Highly motivated and proactive work ethic.
  • Client relationship management and business development skills, ideally with an established network.
  • Professional demeanor and courteous conduct at all times.
  • Conscientious and attentive approach to work.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Possession of a full driving license and personal vehicle.
