Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our Building Consultancy department in Nottingham. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of professionals to provide holistic, commercial advice to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake building surveys and prepare reports
- Prepare specifications for and administer repair and refurbishment contracts
- Prepare and negotiate schedules of dilapidations and prepare exit strategies
- Prepare planned preventative maintenance plans
- Undertake building reinstatement cost assessments
- Assist with coordination of portfolio instructions and undertake other duties as required
- Develop sustainable business links with clients and offer a professional and excellent client service
- Some travel may be required in this role
Requirements
- Ability to work within a team and on own initiative
- Enthusiasm, proactivity, and self-motivation
- Strong verbal and numerical skills, with comfort in report writing
- Excellent time management and general organizational skills
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- Well-presented and excellent communication skills
- MRICS (building surveying) with proven experience, preferably PQE in a commercial consultancy
- Experience of AutoCAD an advantage
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Clean driving license
