Senior Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at Building Careers UK. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential issues and provide expert advice on design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment.
- Carry out acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys, and defect investigations to ensure the highest standards of quality.
- Design and oversee works in accordance with established building contracts and current technical standards, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage large-scale projects independently, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of professional consultancy services and technical publications.
- Apply relevant legislation, including health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning, to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Actively promote our services to secure new projects and enhance our brand presence, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Support and supervise APC candidates to foster their professional development, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their success.
- Utilize extensive experience in consulting engineering, surveying, architecture, and planning to provide expert advice and guidance on complex projects.
- Develop and maintain strong mathematical, scientific, and IT skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving, to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Foster a flexible attitude towards work types, adapting to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Extensive experience in consulting engineering, surveying, architecture, and planning, with a strong understanding of statutory requirements and technical publications.
- Proficiency in defect diagnosis and report writing, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Experience with insurance repair projects is advantageous, as is familiarity with CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall legislation, and Building Regulations.
- Strong mathematical, scientific, and IT skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving, to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
