Eurasia and North Africa Regional Financial Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified accountant with significant experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in financial account management and budget oversight for the role of Regional Accountant for Eurasia and North Africa (ENA). The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the procedures for preparing and submitting financial statements and reports as mandated.
Key Responsibilities: This position will provide proactive, responsive, and solution-oriented support to the ENA region across all financial aspects. It is essential to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services to the regional team, including regional offices, country offices, and partner organizations.
The incumbent will ensure that financial controls and compliance measures are effectively implemented, guaranteeing timely and accurate project financial reporting while identifying risks and proposing strategies to mitigate them.
Qualifications: Do you possess experience in:
- Building financial capacity?
- Extensive use of accounting software and online financial systems?
- Budget formulation and management?
- Donor financial reporting?
- Compliance with organizational financial regulations?
- Supporting program teams in project design and execution?
Skills: Are you capable of:
- Interpreting and conveying complex financial information to non-financial personnel?
- Making independent decisions within a structured framework?
- Collaborating across cultures and building relationships with colleagues in various locations?
- Effectively utilizing financial systems and software, including MS Excel and Google Sheets?
- Organizing and managing administrative responsibilities efficiently?
- Applying strong analytical and problem-solving abilities?
Personal Attributes: Are you:
- A certified accountant, preferably with ACCA?
- A strategic thinker?
- A committed individual aligned with Tearfund's mission and values?
- Willing to travel approximately 35% of the time?
Fluency in both English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, is essential. Strong administrative capabilities are also required.
