About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled financial professional to join our team at Tearfund as the Interim Head of Global Financial Operations. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and technical expertise to oversee and manage the financial operations of our global organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team responsible for financial operations, ensuring the integrity of core financial systems and processes.
  • Ensure financial accuracy, compliance with international accounting standards, and effective financial reporting.
  • Oversight of UK tax affairs, including quarterly VAT returns, global payroll, and implementation of financial controls and procedures across all regions.
  • Leadership of statutory accounting and annual reporting activities.
  • Proven experience of financial management in the international relief and development NGO sector.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Significant experience in leading a large global finance control function.
  • Strong problem-solving and influencing skills, with the ability to establish relationships across the organization.
  • Experience of using finance systems and spreadsheets, and maintaining the integrity of finance systems, processes, and procedures.
