Key Responsibilities:
The Facilities Operations Supervisor will oversee the management of a significant contract, ensuring the seamless operation of all building services and maintenance activities. The role includes:
- Ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), statutory, and reactive tasks are assigned to the engineering team and completed in accordance with contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Accountability for the daily operations of the contract, including material management and the execution of additional works and projects.
- Providing regular updates to the Operations Manager regarding all PPM, reactive, and subcontractor activities.
- Acting as the primary contact for designated subcontractors.
- Implementing control systems to ensure compliance with statutory, policy, and contractual obligations.
- Planning and delivering site maintenance and other long-term contractually obligated works to meet project timelines.
- Managing certain financial aspects of the contract.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and maintaining accurate records within the Quality Management System.
- Reporting incidents and accidents in line with company policies, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Communicating and enforcing business policies and processes effectively within the contract.
- Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to both client and company health and safety policies.
- Conducting appraisals and personnel development plans for the engineering team.
- Participating in the on-call rota for escalation from the engineering team.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will possess:
- A time-served apprenticeship in the building services sector.
- Electrical qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Extensive experience and a solid understanding of managing subcontractors.
