Empower Family Group - Senior Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Empower Family Group. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality therapeutic care to children and young people in our residential children's homes.

About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a safe and nurturing environment for our children and young people. You will work closely with the management team to develop and implement individual care plans, and provide support to young people individually and within a group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality therapeutic care to children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they are tailored to the needs of each young person.
  • Support young people to access education, learn new skills, and participate in activities that promote their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the residential children's homes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of risk assessments, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Communicate effectively with children, young people, and other professionals, providing regular updates and reports as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of child development and the needs of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
