About the Role

We're seeking an enthusiastic and organized Early Careers Advisor to join our growing recruitment team in Manchester.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

As an Early Careers Specialist, you'll be responsible for sourcing top candidates, managing the candidate journey for our apprenticeship applicants, and engaging with external parties to promote our apprenticeship opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a background in recruitment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage apprenticeship applications, test results, and interview notes.
  • Place and follow up on adverts for apprenticeship roles with job centers and online agencies.
  • Manage a database of candidates, contacting and testing them to ensure suitability and eligibility.
  • Provide constructive feedback to all candidates.
  • Review application progress and interview performance by telephone and in writing.
  • Manage all inter-company apprentice and work experience recruitment.
  • Ensure records are kept in line with legislative requirements and key processes.
  • Carry out apprentice candidate reviews and provide guidance and support as required.
  • Present to key stakeholders to encourage them to promote our business.
  • Attend schools, colleges, and business events, which may include some evening and weekend work.
  • Maintain up-to-date specifications for apprenticeship frameworks.
  • Perform various administrative duties as required.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to work well with and lead a small team.
  • Previous experience in recruitment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Accuracy and consistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • An enthusiastic and flexible attitude.
  • A full, clean driving license held for a minimum of one year.
Nice to Have
  • Recruitment experience specifically in relation to apprenticeships.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship advertising platforms, for example My World of Work, Universal Job Match, etc.
