About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist/Therapist to join our CAMHS Getting Help Service team in Durham and Darlington. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective assessment and outcome of children and young people referred to CAMHS.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision, advice, consultation, and training to other team members
  • Contribute to the development of integrated working within the team
  • Offer a small caseload within our getting help services
  • Work closely with a Consultant Psychologist within the CAMHS service

Person Specification
  • Post-graduate training in clinical/counselling/forensic psychology
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Post-doctoral training in specialized areas of psychological practice
  • Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
  • Trained in care coordination
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Registration with BPS
Experience
  • Working as a qualified applied psychologist within a designated service
  • Exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care
  • Teaching, training, and clinical supervision
  • Research and development
  • Quality and service improvement and evaluation
  • Experience of joint working with statutory, voluntary, and private sector agencies
Knowledge/Skills
  • Risk assessment and risk management
  • Effective communication of complex and sensitive information
  • Evidence-based practice relevant to the role
  • Complex multiagency working and liaison with multiple systems
