Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Camden, North London.

About the Role:

We are working with a number of SEND Schools and Mainstream Schools in the area, all looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants for the next academic year. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to support learners with EHCPs who have support and learning needs. Students range from those with moderate learning disabilities, Autistic spectrum, social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support and small group support to students with EHCPs
  • Work with the wider ALS team to create relationships with students that encourages their academic, emotional, and social growth
  • Support students with moderate learning disabilities, Autistic spectrum, social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children, adults, or the elderly with disabilities and or learning difficulties in a professional or personal capacity
  • Ability to support and encourage high levels of social skills and demonstrate learning techniques
  • Commitment to a full-time role on a long-term basis
