Become a vital member of our Rehabilitation Services team, assisting our expert Occupational and Physiotherapists in delivering tailored interventions, which may include both individual sessions and group activities such as fitness classes.

This position plays a crucial role in enabling our Therapists to offer comprehensive, patient-focused care to individuals with serious health conditions, including but not limited to cancer, cardiac issues, respiratory ailments, and chronic neurological disorders.

Your primary workplace will be within our hospice facilities, with occasional travel to various locations as well as patient residences.

This is a part-time opportunity (hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

As a Rehabilitation Support Specialist, your daily tasks may include:

  • Assisting Therapists in executing collaborative interventions
  • Helping to organize and facilitate group exercise sessions
  • Performing administrative tasks as needed
  • Working autonomously with patients following initial assessments by Therapists
  • Conducting home visits
  • Managing and monitoring patient equipment, ensuring safety compliance
  • Participating in team meetings and handovers

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Support Specialist who possesses:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a healthcare or community environment
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary teamwork
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes

Other relevant roles may include: Healthcare Technician, Physiotherapy Assistant, or Occupational Therapy Support Worker.

All candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check, including barred lists.
