About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely, and upholding 5* kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
  • Ensure the kitchen is run efficiently and safely, with a focus on Health & Safety and Hygiene.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage stock levels, inventory, and ordering to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to achieve business objectives and improve kitchen performance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on fresh ingredients and high-quality presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety, hygiene, and health and safety protocols.
