About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Holroyd Howe. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events and themed dinners.
  • Oversee stock control and ordering to minimize waste and maintain inventory levels.
  • Support the Head Chef in administrative tasks, including scheduling and budgeting.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and culinary techniques to enhance menu offerings and dining experiences.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
