This well-established Lloyd's Insurer/Syndicate is experiencing strong growth and is seeking a Senior Marine Cargo Underwriter to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking for a genuine increase in autonomy and presence in the market.
About the Role
- This is a Senior Underwriter role, offering a good level of autonomy and trust within the team.
- Flexible working arrangements are available, with the option to work 2-3 days a week in London or full-time.
- The business promotes inclusivity and operates in a flat management structure with no hierarchy.
- A competitive salary/package up to £150k is on offer, including a plethora of benefits such as up to 14% pension, opportunity to opt in to the share scheme, and a strong bonus.
- The business is willing to consider an individual who may be interested in reducing their days from 5 to 4.
- You will have a robust and exceptional back office infrastructure around you, including 2 Cargo Underwriting Assistants who will support you in London.
About You
- You will ideally hold 5+ years industry experience within the Cargo Insurance market, which could be from a syndicate or company market.
- We are able to consider a vastly experienced Marine Cargo Broker who may be looking to pivot into the underwriting space.
- You will have strong wholesale and retail connections and be able to deepen/strengthen existing relationships.
