About the Client

We are collaborating with a prestigious asset management firm that is strategically expanding its global compliance division. This role encompasses a variety of initiatives, including—but not limited to—global conflict resolution protocols, adherence to regulatory standards, enhancement of technological frameworks, and support for the broader compliance team.

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly esteemed asset manager. You will report directly to the global head of conflict resolution and play a pivotal role in all compliance and regulatory affairs.

While expertise in conflict management and control room operations is crucial, the client is open to considering candidates with a broader compliance background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess potential transactions to identify names for the firm's restricted or control lists.
  • Act as the primary contact for conflict resolution in the EMEA/APAC regions.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance teams, and deal teams to manage control lists effectively.
  • Identify and escalate potential transactional conflicts.
  • Propose or implement solutions for conflicts of interest.
  • Oversee wall-crossing requests and review trade pre-clearances.
  • Assist with personal trading pre-clearances as necessary.
  • Draft and coordinate comprehensive responses to regulatory examinations.

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in a major financial services organization, including roles in conflict management or relevant legal and compliance functions.
  • Experience in responding to regulatory inquiries and examinations.
  • Experience in a buy-side institution is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify issues effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating initiative, creativity, and motivation.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
