About the Role

Clyde & Co is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Conflicts Resolution team. As the Head of Conflict Resolution, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive conflicts management strategy that aligns with the firm's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conflict Management Strategy
    • Develop and implement a conflicts management strategy that ensures the firm's approach to conflicts is aligned with its overall business objectives.
    • Work closely with the Global Head of Business Acceptance and Conflicts Management to ensure that conflicts are managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Conflicts Resolution
    • Take a lead role in facilitating the resolution of complex conflicts and confidentiality issues escalated by the Business Acceptance Team.
    • Work closely with senior management, Practice Group Heads, Client Relationship Partners, and key business stream leads to resolve conflicts and ensure that the firm's interests are protected.
  • Policy and Procedure Development
    • Develop and embed policies and procedures for managing conflicts and recommending changes, new team processes, and improvements as required.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and deliver a training program on excellent conflicts management across the firm to embed key messages.
  • Reporting and Escalation
    • Report quarterly to the Management Board on conflicts resolution and progress.
    • Escalate conflicts to the Conflicts & New Business Committee as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Qualified lawyer with a significant number of years' experience practicing in an international law firm.
    • Significant experience in managing risk within a professional services firm.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.
    • Strong partnership abilities and skilled in influencing and motivating others.
    • Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Expert trainer able to inspire and influence busy executives.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven ability to design and deliver well-thought-out, relevant, and challenging exercise scenarios.
