About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at The National Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional visitor experiences across our properties in the Essex and Suffolk Countryside Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging visitor experiences that meet the needs of our diverse audience.
  • Work closely with the Property Operations Manager and team to ensure seamless delivery of visitor experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create interpretive displays, events, and activities that bring our properties to life.
  • Supervise and support volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and promotional materials to promote our properties and events.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and maintain high standards of presentation on site.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional visitor experiences in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Experience in producing interpretive materials, such as displays and exhibitions, and marketing or promotional materials.
