Alabaré is a leading charity supporting vulnerable individuals, providing a range of services to help them transform their lives. We are seeking a part-time Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team, working at the forefront of a fast-developing, person-centred mental health service.
Key Responsibilities- Reduce presentations to Accident and Emergency (A&E) and the use of services for mental health needs, supporting clients to divert mental health crisis escalation or maintain their post-crisis recovery journey.
- Manage and support staff with complex clients and escalations, providing person-centred support in person or over the telephone support line.
- Facilitate the space at Riverside Sanctuary as a shift lead, ensuring evening duties are carried out and case notes are logged as necessary.
- Previous experience in mental health and wellbeing roles is desirable.
- Confidence working as part of a small team, comprising Senior Peer Support Workers, Wellbeing Practitioners, and Volunteers, as well as independently.
- A full driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- Part-time contract available (22 hours per week).
- Hourly salary £15.05 after completing a probation period.
- Double time on nominated Bank Holidays.
- Excellent accredited training opportunities.

Alabaré is committed to ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all our service users, which includes developing, implementing, and maintaining effective recruitment policies and procedures to promote the safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. These checks include an Enhanced DBS, which will be renewed every 3 years, the right to live and work in the UK, as well as two satisfactory references.
