Job Overview

The Stock Management Officer is accountable for overseeing inventory services (excluding pharmacy) throughout the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role spans across multiple acute facilities, ensuring seamless operations and effective stock management.

The Stock Management Officer will be responsible for the systematic reordering and replenishment of supplies, managing the receipt of deliveries, monitoring stock levels, maintaining optimal inventory thresholds, implementing stock rotation practices, and tracking inventory across various locations. A significant aspect of this position involves meticulous data entry to maintain precise stock records and conducting regular inventory audits to confirm quantities held in the central storage.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates should possess experience in stock replenishment and/or have a background in a warehouse environment. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with a customer-oriented approach characterized by a friendly, helpful, and adaptable demeanor. Proficiency in computer systems for data entry is required. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is crucial. Effective communication with staff at all levels and the capacity to meet deadlines are also necessary.
