Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager in a secure mental health environment. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving up and maintaining high-quality care for individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Care Planning: You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based care for a named service user or group, ensuring that their health and wellbeing needs are met.
  2. Quality Standards and Monitoring: You will participate in setting quality standards and monitoring their implementation, ensuring that our services meet the highest clinical standards and are in line with current guidance and policy.
  3. Professional Role and Responsibilities: You will ensure that you understand and meet your professional role and responsibilities under the Care Programme Approach and current adult and child safeguarding legislation.
  4. Mental Health Act and Code of Practice: You will ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Code of Practice are observed, adhered to, and implemented.
  5. Therapeutic Relationships and Interventions: You will establish therapeutic relationships with service users and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council's professional code of conduct.
