Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager in a secure mental health environment. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving up and maintaining high-quality care for individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Care Planning: You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based care for a named service user or group, ensuring that their health and wellbeing needs are met.
- Quality Standards and Monitoring: You will participate in setting quality standards and monitoring their implementation, ensuring that our services meet the highest clinical standards and are in line with current guidance and policy.
- Professional Role and Responsibilities: You will ensure that you understand and meet your professional role and responsibilities under the Care Programme Approach and current adult and child safeguarding legislation.
- Mental Health Act and Code of Practice: You will ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Code of Practice are observed, adhered to, and implemented.
- Therapeutic Relationships and Interventions: You will establish therapeutic relationships with service users and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council's professional code of conduct.
