Role Purpose

The Grosvenor Treasury team operates a cohesive function across the organization, assisting operational units in various regions while managing treasury functions for the Group Team and providing advisory support to various sectors.

This role, positioned within the Financing and Front Office team, aims to provide strategic leadership for treasury front office operations across Grosvenor's international business.


Front office responsibilities at Grosvenor encompass interest rate hedging, foreign exchange management, cash investments, bank guarantees, intra-group financing, and cash pooling, alongside oversight of Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.


Leading the front office involves ensuring the provision of execution, support, and advisory services related to front office activities across Grosvenor, coordinating with Financing and Front Office colleagues in planning and executing these activities.

This position offers a chance to influence treasury success as Grosvenor expands and as the complexity of treasury responsibilities increases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the treasury front office, ensuring adherence to best practices, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage front office operations, including planning and executing all necessary activities, overseeing related contractual documentation, and maintaining accurate records in the Treasury Management System.
  • Lead the Group's internal liquidity management, including intra-group funding and cash pooling.
  • Oversee KYC processes for Treasury and spearhead automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Cultivate stakeholder relationships to gather data for forecasting and managing front office activities, including cash flow projections.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory landscape affecting treasury operations, managing the implications of regulatory changes on front office activities.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in the efficiency and outcomes of front office operations.
  • Execute treasury risk management strategies for external debt financing, including interest rate and foreign exchange hedging.
  • Develop treasury and financing policies.
  • Support relationships with banks, lenders, and other internal and external stakeholders from a front office perspective.
  • Collaborate with the Tax team.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects as required.

To excel in this role, you will need to:

  • Collaborate closely and flexibly with finance teams across Grosvenor's operating companies located in various time zones.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner by fostering strong collaborative relationships with finance teams and colleagues from relevant disciplines, including development and investment teams.
  • Constructively challenge performance to uphold expected standards and identify areas of excellence that can be replicated in other treasury activities.
  • Communicate effectively with the entire Treasury team to ensure a shared understanding of treasury activities across Grosvenor's global operations.
  • Work independently and within teams on liquidity management and front office activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Financing and Front Office Treasury team to ensure adequate front office coverage.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through automation, including the use of AI where applicable.
Key Requirements

  • A seasoned treasury professional with a proven track record, ideally within an international organization.
  • Experience in corporate finance.
  • Familiarity with treasury documentation (e.g., ISDAs) is advantageous.
  • AMCT qualification or relevant experience in front office treasury management; accounting qualification is a plus.
  • Strong academic background, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Extensive experience with Treasury systems; familiarity with FIS Integrity is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in influencing and persuading stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues while maintaining a hands-on approach with attention to detail, alongside a strong understanding of the broader context.
